I've been to the Corner Cafe twice now. Both times I thought it was cute and had good food. It's a small cafe tucked away in an old strip mall that is in desperate need of a serious makeover (both the strip mall and the cafe). The cafe is small, maybe 15 tables at the most, and appears to be family owned and operated. The servers are nice and quick and the food is good. They have a decent selection of breakfast and lunch items available, all with good sized portions for a decent price.
Like the cafe itself, they need to consider investing in some new dishes and cutlery. My Mom ordered a tea while we were there, and it was served in this little white ceramic teapot that looked like it had been through hell and back! I ordered coffee and ... well ... it could have been better.
I've also decided to start reducing my ratings by 1 star whenever I'm given a disposable plastic straw in my drink. I asked for a glass of water with my brunch and was given a beat-up plastic cup of water ... with a plastic straw. I should have remembered to ask for no straws, but I honestly didn't think it would come with one to begin with. Therefore, one less star.
